At the architecture of the Sultanhan Hotel, which began serving in Sultanahmet, the center of the historical peninsula, Seldug and Ottoman decoration elements are preferred due to its location, the external window railings, store surfacing, balcony rails, consoles, the central part with the entrance door and the covering of the ground floor front is realized with handmade stonework of Antalya-Elmalı style. The balcony railings are specially casted aluminium with Seldug motives.
Except this, again the main entrance is furnished with a joint stone arc according to traditional architecture and the double winged massive wood door with Seldug motives completed the architecture of the external front. Whilst the framings of all windows and doors are of massive oak, double layered glass is used in order to provide the insulation.
The lobby of the Sultanhan Hotel, which is one of the largest in Sultanahmet, is approximately 400sqm large and has a ceiling height of 5 meters. The floor of the lobby and the surfaces of the four main columns are covered with marble and enriched with cinctures of green granite. At its decoration, historical pieces, kaftans and one to one reproduced silk curtains with 16th century Ottoman motives are used. Beside this, nine wide boat applications of papier mache are performed on the ceiling of the lobby, and at these, by applying old times motives, a sample of traditional architecture is provided.
The Terrace Restaurant, with view on the Bosphorus, the Topkapı Palace, Marmara Sea the Blue Mosque with its magnificent minarets, has a total capacity of 200 persons, of which 100 is covered and 100 is open air, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers its selected guests several samples of the traditional Turkish and international cuisine.
At the ŞÖMİNE BAR (CHIMNEY BAR), again decorated with historical pieces, local, foreign drinks and aperitifs are served to its distinguished guests. Except this, a Sauna for 8 persons and a Hamam (Turkish Bath) for 12 persons, at which any comfort is considered, is provided for the service to our guests.
Beside this, the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, the Yerebatan Cistern, the Topkapı Palace and the Hippodrome are 5 or 10 minutes walk-way away from our hotel.
